Kitchen Refreshed for Spring
While our indoor spaces remain closed to the public, we are working on small projects to refresh the looks of the house, to make it more inviting as we anticipate reopening when COVID conditions allow more gathering.
For an example of this work, look at our kitchen curtain makeover.
The “before” photo (left) shows how faded and sad that window looks.
However, neighbor Lonni sewed and hung new curtains (Lonni at work, photo on right).
See the difference! These new curtains really brighten and refresh our kitchen (photo below).
We love involving neighbors like Lonni, sharing her time and skills, as a way to contribute to Good Neighbor.
We invite you to share some of your time and your skills, too. We welcome help with gardening, painting, and small house repairs; or you may have some artwork or crafts that will transform walls or shelf spaces. If you are willing and able to contribute in these kinds of ways, please contact us via email (info@goodneighbor.org) or phone (254-716-3079). We will find a place for you!
