MLK Service Day

MLK service day at Good Neighbor House started with a discussion of Dr King’s often-used phrase about “Beloved Community.”

“Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.”

Neighbors of all ages gathered to serve. We appreciate Sanger Heights neighborhood association and a few other groups who use our building regularly. Everyone worked hard on various projects: deep cleaning the kitchen, refreshing our garden, and transporting a shelter for our backyard. Thanks to all our hardworking volunteers!
