(Re)Launching Our Blog
Good Neighbor House has been closed to the public since early March 2020, as we have been adapting to the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic. For us, this has meant that the positive and productive activities and events that kept us busy–hosting parties and meetings, enjoying learning and growing from others, and meeting new neighbors–have been cancelled.
Now, nearly one year later, as the pandemic-related constraints continue to limit the use of our spaces at the house, we are exploring ways that Good Neighbor might remain “open” and fulfill its mission and stated goals
We think that one positive thing we can do to connect with friends and neighbors is to create a more visible and active online social media presence, to communicate with our neighbors and supporters in constructive and engaging ways. We want to invite you–our “neighbors” to join us in our journey, as we explore questions about various perspectives and examples of what being a “good neighbor” means, even now during a pandemic.
Our talented intern, Ms. Sarah Flores (whom you will “meet” in subsequent posts), is leading this initiative, and she will be sharing thoughtful and interesting accounts of what we are doing and thinking about in these unique times.
